Catalyst volunteers support Bournemouth beach clean

Catalyst’s volunteer efforts continued today as several members of the team gave up their time to support the BCP council with a beach clean on Bournemouth Beach.

With Bournemouth Beach especially busy during the summer months, the activity was an opportunity to make a positive difference locally.

The team were fortunate to enjoy some good weather throughout the clean-up, and Lipton were on hand to keep everyone refreshed with iced tea while the work took place!

The team collected common beach litter such as glass fragments, plastic wrappers and cigarette ends. However, there were also a few more unusual discoveries along the way, including an Uno card, a coat hanger and various items of clothing!

Speaking on his experience, Marketing Assistant, Ben Timms commented: “It’s great to be able to give back to the community. Spending time in the sun, on the beach and helping keep the environment clean is a great way to spend a morning!”

Junior Underwriter, Jack Gulyas added “As someone who lives so close to the beach and visits often, I found it surprising how much there was on the beach, that you often don’t even notice. It felt good to play a part in keeping it clean for everyone to enjoy.”

Thank you to everyone in the team who took part and contributed their time to supporting the local community. Small actions like these help protect our coastline and make a real difference to the places we all enjoy.
