ESG: Environmental, Social & Governance

What is ESG?

ESG – short for Environmental, Social and Governance – is a set of standards measuring a business’s impact on society, the environment, and how transparent and accountable it is. It measures how your business integrates environmental, social, and governance practices into operations, as well as your business model, its impact, and its sustainability.

Catalyst are dedicated to incorporating ESG into our business operations and meeting our commitments for 2026.

Charity / Community

Catalyst is proud to support Julia’s House, our charity of the year 2026

Julia’s House is a Children’s Hospice in Dorset and Wiltshire. They provide practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, providing frequent and regular support in their own homes, in the community or at their hospices. Each family they support is unique and so is the care they provide. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Julia’s House exists to help these children and their families.

They are an award-winning children’s hospice charity dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families across the two counties.

Caroline Attreed, Corporate Fundraiser, Julia’s House says:

‘’Our amazing nurses and carers bring clinical care, fun, laughter, and compassion to the children they support. And we give exhausted parents a much-needed respite break from around the clock care, with the peace of mind their child is in safe hands. We are thrilled Catalyst Property Finance have chosen to support Julia’s House as their charity of the year, and we are excited for the year ahead. Support from local business is vital to our future care and our ability to be there for every child and family that needs us. We look forward to supporting the team at Catalyst with their fundraising plans.’’

People

Why investing in our people is important

At Catalyst, we know that our company is only as strong as our people. Catalyst wouldn’t be what it is today without the experience and commitment of our team, which is why we are always seeking ways to better support and equip them to succeed in their roles.

We aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive. When our employees feel valued, heard and supported, they bring their best selves to work and that ultimately positively impacts Catalyst as a whole.

What is an eNPS ?

An employee Net Promoter Score or eNPS for short, is a widely used tool for measuring employee satisfaction. Employees are asked one question, such as “how likely are you to recommend Catalyst as a good place to work?” which then provides valuable insight to gauge how employees are feeling about the company at a given time. By measuring eNPS on a regular basis, we are able to accurately assess the effectiveness of initiatives, highlight areas for improvement and plan further actions to influence our company culture.

Catalyst is proud to currently attract an outstanding eNPS, with a score of 79 out of 100 (Dec 25). For more information, click here to read our blog.

ENVIRONMENT

Building a more sustainable future

At Catalyst, we believe that responsible business goes beyond the services we provide – it includes the impact we have on the world around us. As we continue to grow, we’re taking meaningful steps to better understand our environmental footprint, starting with measuring our operational emissions (Scopes 1 and 2). Building this foundation will help us make informed, positive changes in how we work day to day.

We are committed to becoming operationally carbon neutral by 2030, though we’re confident we can reach this goal much sooner. Our focus will be on reducing emissions wherever possible and offsetting any unavoidable emissions through trusted, high‑quality programmes. This approach reflects our belief that progress should be practical, transparent, and rooted in genuine responsibility.
